Thanks for the Memories
The ROIAL Program has closed its doors after ten amazing years. Its spirit lives on, though, in a number of ways: This website will remain active for a while to serve as an archive of the program's history, and some of our work can still be seen in and around Abbot Hall, our former home.
The Residential College in the Arts and Humanities is something of a spiritual successor to the ROIAL Program; any students with an interest in an arts and humanities-based living-learning community can now apply there. Have a look at their website or send them an e-mail: rcah@msu.edu.

Mission Statement
From 1997 to 2007, ROIAL brought together students with common academic interests in the arts and humanities to share in a residential living environment.
ROIAL worked to motivate its students to participate actively in cooperative learning experiences in languages, writing, humanities, and the arts, while developing a sense of community as scholars dedicated to lifelong learning among the residence hall, among the university at large, and among the larger arts and humanities community.
